TabDefrag is a Chrome browser extension that helps users search, organize, and deduplicate browser tabs. This privacy policy explains how TabDefrag handles your data.

Data We Collect

TabDefrag does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All operations performed by the extension happen entirely on your device.

What the Extension Accesses

TabDefrag accesses the following browser information solely to provide its features:

• Tab URLs and titles — used for search and duplicate detection. This data never leaves your device.
• Window information — used to move and organize tabs between windows. This data never leaves your device.
• Local storage (chrome.storage.sync) — used to save your preferences such as default tab limits and Open Website behavior. This data is stored in your own Chrome account and is never accessed by us.

Data Sharing

TabDefrag does not share any data with third parties. The extension makes no network requests. No analytics, tracking, or advertising tools are used.

Permissions Explained

• tabs — to read tab URLs and titles for search and deduplication
• windows — to move tabs between windows during grouping
• tabGroups — reserved for future features
• storage — to save your settings locally
• sidePanel — to display the TabDefrag interface in Chrome's side panel

Children's Privacy

TabDefrag does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
